The committee meets every other 4th Monday.  All meetings are currently being held virtually. The meeting is from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

This committee is run by a chairperson who is appointed by the RCEB Board President. This chairperson will be a board member and will advise the Board of Directors of the committee’s findings and recommendations from their meetings. The members of the committee will be comprised of RCEB staff, parents, and family organizations representing developmental disabilities and community organizations representing those under-served communities.

To build and promote equitable support systems for ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse communities

The Diversity & Equity Committee Mission is to build and strengthen trust, collaboration and support between Regional Center of the East Bay, vendor agencies, families and the broader community and to:

Honor and assure equal access to needed and appropriate services respecting age, disability, and ethnic diversity.

We seek to facilitate outreach to families and individuals in emerging and isolated communities to promote awareness of Regional Center services, identify and address barriers for families to access services, and empower families to take action.

This committee is run by a chairperson who is appointed by the RCEB Board President. This chairperson will be a board member and will advise the Board of Directors of the committee’s findings and recommendations at their monthly meeting. The members of the committee will be comprised of RCEB staff, parents, and family organizations representing developmental disabilities and community organizations representing those under-served communities.
