In person focus group participants needed for STAR Autism conference planning

The STAR Autism Conference Planning Committee would like to invite parents/caregivers of any children newly diagnosed with Autism (approximately diagnosed within last 2 years) to help give feedback about what they would like to see at future STAR Conference events.
The STAR Autism conference has previously been in person approximately every 2 years for parents of children with Autism. During the pandemic we had a few shorter online conferences during that time and are now trying to look at what will meet needs of families now as we move forward.
The conference committee is hosting two in person focus groups to gather information from parents/caregivers of newly diagnosed children in order to help guide the planning of the next event. We want to know what kinds of topics and resources you would be interested in for a conference.
- Tuesday 5/16 in Concord 10-11:30am
- Thursday 5/18 in Fremont 10-11:30am
These groups will be small, and registration required to attend. These 2 groups next week will be in English. Focus groups in other languages will be scheduled at a later date. Please see attached flyer for more information, registration link, and contact info for further questions.
