Family Cost Participation Program

Welfare and Institutions Code Section 4783 implemented the Family Cost Participation Program (FCPP) on January 1, 2005. This law requires some families to share in the cost of Respite, Day Care, and Camping services. No other services are affected.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Regional Center of the East Bay, Inc. will hold a public meeting on August 22, 2016, for input to the Diversity & Equity funding recommendations due to the passage of ABX2 1.

This meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. during our regularly scheduled Diversity & Equity meeting in our San Leandro Office.

Guide To Lanterman Act

The Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Act (AB 846), also known as the Lanterman Act, is a part of California law that states the rights and responsibilities of persons with developmental disabilities. It is a powerful piece oflegislation that establishes an entitlement and defines the service delivery system. It creates the agencies, including regional centers, responsible for planning and coordinating services and supports for persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Self-Determination local volunteer advisory committee members have been chosen jointly by the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, Bay Area Office and the Regional Center of the East Bay.

Also on the committee is Arthur Lipscomb, the Clients Rights Advocate at Disability Rights California.

2018 Service Provider Rate Study

DDS Provider Notification

We appreciate the interest in the provider survey that we have received to date. A number of providers have already submitted surveys.

In response to requests from several providers and in order to allow for the broadest participation, DDS has agreed to extend the due date for the provider survey. The new deadline is Friday, August 3, 2018.

It is intended to help families make connections, find supports, and share resources.
